“Innovations in Housing” at the Great Falls Forum

Jeanee Wright, a Cooperative Development Specialist in CDI’s NEROC program, will speak on an “Innovations in Housing” panel at the January edition of the Great Falls Forum in Lewiston, Maine. Please join us!

The event will take place on Thursday, January 25th from 12 noon to 1 pm in the Lewiston Public Library’s Callahan Hall. The program is free and no advance registration is required. The Forum is a bring-your-own lunch event.  Coffee, tea and bottled water are available at the program.

The Great Falls Forum series is a monthly presentation co-sponsored by the Lewiston Public Library, the Sun Journal, and Bates College. Forums occur monthly from September-May during the Thursday lunch hour in Callahan Hall at the Lewiston Public Library.

“Innovations in Housing” will feature a range of people and organizations:

• Jeanee Wright, who helps owners of manufactured homes achieve democratic ownership in the form of collectively organized nonprofit cooperatives that purchase and manage their manufactured home parks
• Cullen Ryan, Executive Director of Community Housing of Maine, a leader in the development of supportive housing for homeless and special needs populations across the state
• Amy Cullen, Development Officer for the Szanton Company, who is helping to lead development and management of the Hartley Block, a 63-unit, mixed-income apartment building with 4,000 square feet of ground level retail space on Lisbon Street in downtown Lewiston
• Craig Saddlemire, Cooperative Organizer for the Raise-Op Housing Cooperative in downtown Lewiston
