The Philadelphia Area Cooperative Alliance, long a volunteer-run effort, has partnered with the National Cooperative Business Association (NCBA CLUSA) to help institutionalize their work. From the job description:

NCBA CLUSA is now recruiting for an Executive Director for the Philadelphia Area Cooperative Alliance (PACA). The Executive Director is responsible for the organization’s consistent achievement of its mission and financial objectives. The Executive Director will provide day-to-day leadership for Philadelphia Area Cooperative Alliance (PACA) including strategic management and organizational leadership, financial supervision, grant-writing/fundraising, promotion of PACA to internal and external audiences. The Executive Director of PACA reports to the COO of the National Cooperative Business Association and the Cooperative League of the United States of America (NCBA CLUSA) and the Board of Directors of PACA. While the Executive Director is an employee of NCBA, strategy and direction will be provided by the local governing board of PACA.
