Sustainable Livelihoods Relief Organization
Sustainable Livelihoods Relief Organization (SLRO) is a group of Lewiston, Maine residents whose families originate in the Juba Valley of South Central Somalia. Recognizing that many Somali Bantu families who currently live in the Lewiston-Auburn area have farming experience from their home country, SLRO provides training in modern farming techniques and the basics of agribusiness, locating a space for community farming, and engaging youth in agriculture.
