- Are based in the Northeast
- Have the goal to engage deeply with the 7 cooperative principles (are “social profit” co-ops)
- Have a majority of members who Identify as B/I/POC
- Benefit immigrants and refugees
- Have a majority of members who Identify as part of the LGBTQ community
- Contribute beneficially to environmental stewardship
