Project Information
Quabbin Sunrise Cooperative, Inc. is a 65-lot manufactured housing community that residents collectively purchased in 2010. The cooperative’s highest priority is to upgrade its drinking water distribution system. The cooperative (WSID MA1309001) installed a new well and water treatment building in 2012. Periodic leaks in the distribution system cause water usage to exceed the system’s permitted limits. The cooperative is currently enrolled in EPA’s WaterTA Engineering Support Program to produce a PER that thoroughly studies the issue and establishes a recommended alternative. A draft of the PER will be available in May 2025 and will be shared upon request when the report is ready for distribution. The cooperative is pursuing DWSRF funding for the project and has secured a HUD-PRICE award to contribute towards the project.
