At the dawn of the 2020s, the world seems ready to tip out of the unstable equilibrium it has teetered in for the past several decades, into an era of rapid change. But in which direction? CDI, with the long-time support of the New Visions Foundation, is pushing toward a more compassionate, life-affirming, and sustainable culture by developing successful models of shared prosperity and igniting the imagination of people in our region.
We are grateful for the truly visionary commitment of New Visions to lifting up the work of on-the-ground actors such as CDI and helping us to use our work to change minds and paradigms. And we appreciate that New Visions emphasizes the importance of our “being the change,” acting internally as we want the world to be. We will be using their generous, unrestricted gift of $20,000 to support our employees’ wellness and training in equity and inclusion, as well as to contribute to professional development opportunities for lower-income co-operators in our region.
Another world is not only possible, we can start to live in it right now.
